[LONDON, 2024] The world’s leading university-level institution dedicated to the business of esports and gaming, College of Esports, are pleased to announce that London Legion will be competing in the inaugural ‘London Lock In’ tournament on Wednesday 5th June.
Organised by Royal Holloway University esports society (RHUL) and London Legion, six collegiate teams from across London will be competing in this tournament, live at the RedBull Gaming Sphere.
College of Esports students: Finnlo Merry, Jake Dorrian, Alex Daykin, Chris Townsend, and Molly Sharp have all been working alongside the RHUL team to create and organise the London Lock In event – as well as creating brand assets and content for the tournament
London Legion, the official esports team of the College of Esports, will have teams competing in VALORANT and Overwatch 2 – competing for an assortment of prizes provided by a series of event sponsors.
This exciting event is set to give collegiate teams the opportunity to compete in the LAN-based environment, as well as working as a great networking space for students to connect with one another across universities.
Finnlo Merry, Executive Producer for London Legion, said: “London Lock In is a great chance for us to show what we can do as a student body when we get full control of the brand and event. We are aiming for this to be the highest quality student esports event London has ever seen using the amazing space at the RedBull Gaming Sphere. Working together with the team at RHUL Esports has been amazing and we look forward to creating a spectacular show!’
The event will be live streamed from 11:00am BST on Wednesday 5th June on the LockInEvents Twitch channel, where all the matches will be shown throughout the entire event.
